Sophia “Sophie” Horsley is a U.S.A. Local 829 scenic artist, based in NYC. She majored in scenic painting at North Carolina School of the Arts where she received a B.F.A. in Design and Production. Her background in the collaborative art of theatrical production has inspired her to be a creative problem solver that loves a challenge. In her current work in the tv and film business, she thrives under the pressure of deadlines and quick turn-arounds. Her focus is compassionate leadership and efficient team management to realize a production’s goals. Most recently, she has been a lead scenic and core crew member on NBCUniversal’s hit TV show, New Amsterdam for 4 seasons.
